Highlights of the Event

The program began with the necessary administrative process of signing in, followed by a brief delay as organizers waited for representatives from other invited schools to arrive.

Once the program officially commenced, the day flowed with thoughtful presentations and discussions:

  1. Formal Opening: The ceremony began with opening remarks and the recitation of the National Anthem, setting a solemn and patriotic tone. This was followed by a formal welcome address.
  2. Poetry & Art: The theme of peace was powerfully expressed through poetry. Students from Suleiman Ribadu Academy, the AUN Academy’s own Bello Aliyara, and a student from Ahmadu Ribadu College each delivered moving peace poems.
  3. Guest Speakers: The event featured intellectual contributions, including an address by a representative from Concordia College and a key speech by Professor Mohammed, who spoke on the importance of sustaining peace in the community.
  4. Panel Discussion: The highlight of the commemoration was a panel discussion featuring student representatives from each of the participating schools. This session allowed students to share their unique perspectives, challenges, and solutions for fostering peace among young people.

The event concluded with a closing remark from the organizers, thanking everyone for their participation in making the day a success.
